Adjustable Torso Height

The Shimoda Action X30 v2 is incredibly versatile, with three height options that offer about 7 cm (2.7 in) of vertical adjustment. This means the same backpack can comfortably fit both short and tall torsos, regardless of gender. For those with taller or broader torsos, adding the Booster Kit provides an even greater range of adjustment, ensuring a custom fit for everyone.

Core Unit Modular Camera Insert System

One of the standout features of the X30 is the Mirrorless Core Unit series. These inserts provide shockproof protection for both Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and lenses, ensuring you never carry more padding and weight than necessary. The X30 v2 can accommodate Small, Medium, and Large Mirrorless Core Units, making it highly adaptable to your needs.

Dual Laptop/Tablet Sleeves

The X30 features padded sleeves on both the rear and front panels that can fit laptops up to 16 inches. This dual sleeve setup allows you to pack both a tablet and a laptop, offering flexible options for various packing scenarios.

Expandable Roll-Top Access

The Action X series includes a roll-top access feature, allowing the bag to adjust to your gear needs while maintaining a tight and compact fit. The roll-top can expand with a volume range of 7 liters. Additionally, the top section has a quick-access YKK SplashGuard® zipper, making it easy to access your gear quickly, especially in bad weather.

Hidden Tracking Device Sleeve

A nifty hidden sleeve is designed to hold a personal tracking device, so you always know where your pack is. In the unfortunate event that your pack goes missing, a tracker can help locate and recover your gear. This sleeve accommodates both AirTag and Tile Pro devices, adding an extra layer of security for your equipment.

I’ve found the Shimoda Action X30 v2 to be an indispensable part of my photography adventures, thanks to its thoughtful design and robust features.
