Unnamed Waterfall, Binna Burra National Park
Hiking along the stunning 17.4km long Coomera Falls Circuit at Binna Burra National Park in Queensland is always an adventure, especially when you're met with unpredictable weather. On this particular trek, the weather seemed determined to drench every inch of the landscape for the majority of the day. Despite the challenging conditions, there were a few small breaks in the torrential downpours.
During one of these rare moments of calm, I stumbled upon this serene little waterfall and knew I had to capture it. After all the relentless rain, this waterfall seemed to offer a moment of quiet tranquility. The sound of heavy rain against the canopy leaves had quietened to the gentle patter of tiny droplets and the soothing flow of the waterfall. The fern leaf in the foreground perfectly complemented the scene, making it an ideal subject to photograph. This image serves as a reminder of the unexpected moments of peace and beauty that can be found even on the stormiest of days.
This hike at Binna Burra, although a longer trek, is truly one of my favourites and a must-do if you're looking to view lots of waterfalls in one trail.
